Derelict.
After you left
I was without helm.
A ship wreck
abandoned at sea.
Beaten by furious waves.
Deluged by typhoons.
Hit by tsunamis.
Like an abandoned island.
A human Hashima.
After many years
centuries
millenia
what was left of me
sprung again
grew sprouts
that clung to the scarce land.
Resilient.
Defying.
Bending to freezing wind
withholding my inner structure
within a flexible exoskeleton.
And here I am
with unparalleled scars.
With traces of those sleepless night
darkening my face
like a surreal mask.
And yet
surpassing all possibilities
I see myself in the mirage
far in the distance
ready for the new
incoming storm…
