Mars, again
Mars
the planet
the legend
the dream
the illusion
the fear
the god
awaits for us.
Millions of years waiting.
Its landscape untouched.
At least by us.
Maybe we have been there before.
Only we don’t remember.
Yeah, we have walked across
its Saharas.
Climbed treeless mountains
dived on dry sand pools
covered ourselves with dust
in those homongous storms.
Drank melted liquid
of the salitroce ice
of its meager polar caps.
Painted ourselves red
just to mimic
the environment.
Probably ate
some ancient bacteria
like a legged whale
feeding on the smallest creatures.
Looking at the sky
wondering if we ever
are going to go back
to the bue dot
lingering up in the dark.
