At the shore
at a distant sea shore line
the waves arrive silently
kissing the sand
not with passion
with a sibling’s kiss.
The luminiscence of some
microscopical organisms
give the water movement
an eerie glow.
Some Portuguese Fragatas
jelly fish
deadly beautiful
wash ashore
pushed by the wind.
In their marooned demise
carry with them
the poison they used
as weapons
to catch their preys.
The contrast of light and dark
give way to the reflection
of hurried clouds
heralding
an incoming storm.
Crabs splash in the tide
grabbing with their pincers
unfortunate little critters
unwillingly turned dinner.
The daily struggle.
Eat or be eaten.
All before my eyes
that watch in amazement
the eternal drama.
