White dominion
Over the fairly easy
to conquer
hills.
Over the hard
and painful to climb
mountains.
Passing through ice cold
rivers
holding dear life in any rock
protruding above
the ever changing
water surface level.
The foam of its
agitated transfer
inundates my mouth
covering
the yelling
the sounds of scare
of hypothermia.
Once out
in fireless turf
Winter reigning
unchallenged
welcomes me
sending Arctic wind
to my cracking face
freezing the blood
inside my arteries
to the point that any thought
is a heavy reminder
that no pretentious
urban dweller
should venture
unprepared
to the realms of White
the kingdom
where the Sun barely shines.
