Comet.

You NiverseThe comet.
500 meters wide.
Out of the far to reach Oort cloud.
It won’t mean the end of life.
Just a major cataclysm.
Frozen beyond imagination.
Soundless as it approaches.
Occasional cracking on the surface.
Gases syphoning out fueled by the sudden heat
of the nearer by the hour Sun.
Occasional flashes coming from supernovas
exploding in distant galaxies.
The ice rock inhabited by primal molecules
bricks of proto-organisms
crawling in frozen dirty water
full of promises
future life promises.
Yet, the inevitable impact.
The survivor molecules
feeding the future.
The recurring future.
The endless circle.
Time, that thing indefinable.
Time coming forever.
Visiting one and all universes.
Particles expanding.
Particles contracting.
Endless circles.
Once a part of an element.
Later a part of yet another.
Gas, liquid, metal, rock.
Diamond whence in extreme.
Uranium sometimes.
Plasma, wave, radiation.
At times
part of the terrifying face
of a portentous animal
roaming the surface of an unknown planet.
All of this and more
the comet has been.
And it would be again
after all eternities together pass…
